It’s hard to believe we are already
approaching another fall season! With
students returning to school and
summer beginning to wind
down, we are entering one of
my favorite times of the year in
Burgaw.
Back-to-school season always
seems to mark the beginning of
a busy few months. Before we
know it, fall will be here,
bringing cooler temperatures,
changing seasons, and a calendar filled with community events,
activities, traditions, and holidays from September through
December.
Fall and the holiday season in our town brings our community
together—whether it’s enjoying an event downtown, supporting
our local businesses, spending time with friends and neighbors, or
celebrating traditions with our families.
Over the next several months, we have plenty to look forward to
in Burgaw. Our Town staff, community organizations, local
businesses, volunteers, and many others are already working
behind the scenes to prepare for the events and activities that
make this time of year so enjoyable.
As we move from September into October, November, and
December, I encourage everyone to stay connected with the
Town and keep an eye on our upcoming calendar. Come
downtown, attend an event, visit our parks, shop and dine locally,
and take advantage of the many opportunities to enjoy our
community.
This season is also a wonderful reminder of what makes Burgaw
special. It isn’t simply the events themselves—it’s the people who
show up, volunteer, participate, support one another, and create
the sense of community that makes our town feel like home.
Before we know it, we ’ll be celebrating the holidays and
preparing to welcome another new year. Until then, I hope you
and your family will make time to enjoy everything the coming
months have to offer.
There is a lot happening in Burgaw, and there is even more to
look forward to. I ’m excited for another wonderful fall and
holiday season together!
