NEWSLETTER
Our T own
Published weekly by the Town of Burgaw | June 22-26, 2026
Because Burgaw is more than a town— it’s home.
Committed to Serving You through
Smart Investments and Clear
Communication
Our commitment to the community goes
beyond providing essential services. It
means making every tax dollar count,
investing wisely in Burgaw's future, and
ensuring residents stay informed about the
work being done to keep our town strong,
connected, and moving forward.
Over the years, the Town has invested in
projects that improve infrastructure, public safety, recreation, accessibility, and
quality of life. While local tax dollars support many of these efforts, Town
officials continually pursue grants, partnerships, donations, sponsorships, and
other funding opportunities to help stretch local resources further.
Projects such as the West Side Trail expansion, long -range infrastructure
planning initiatives, and the future Splash Pad demonstrate how outside
funding sources can help Burgaw accomplish more while reducing the burden
on local taxpayers. This approach
allows the Town to continue making
meaningful improvements while
planning responsibly for the future.
Just as important as these
investments is keeping residents
informed and engaged. The Town
utilizes a variety of communication
tools, including its website, social
media platforms, newsletters, public notices, meetings, and community
outreach efforts to share information about projects, events, services, public
hearings, and other matters affecting the community.

Residents are encouraged to stay connected and take advantage of the
many opportunities available to learn more, ask questions, and
participate in their local government. Whether it's stopping by Town
Hall, speaking directly with Town staff or elected officials, attending
Town Council meetings and public hearings, submitting questions, or
following Town communications online, there are numerous ways to
stay informed and engaged. By staying connected and involved,
residents play an important role in helping shape the future of Burgaw.
For those unable to attend the Town Council's regular monthly meetings
held on the second Tuesday of each month, the Town encourages residents to stay connected by watching the
meetings online. Council meetings are livestreamed, allowing residents convenient access to local government
discussions, decisions, and community updates from anywhere. Recordings are also available afterward, making it
easy to stay informed on your schedule. Meeting notices, agendas and video links can be found on our website at
burgawnc.gov.
Through responsible planning, sound financial management, and ongoing communication, the Town remains
committed to investing in our community, serving our residents, and strengthening the place we all call home.
