As the Town of Burgaw prepares to welcome thousands of visitors for the annual NC Blueberry Festival
during the third weekend of June, temporary road closures have been approved by the Burgaw Town Council
and will be in place throughout the downtown area to support festival activities and enhance public safety.
To create additional space for pedestrian traffic and provide a safer, vehicle -free environment for festival
attendees, a portion of NC Highway 53 within the festival footprint will be temporarily closed during the
event. This temporary closure was requested by the festival association, approved by the NC Department of
Transportation, and supported by Town officials as part of ongoing efforts to keep public safety a top priority
during the event.
In addition to the map shown, a detailed listing of closures can be found online at burgawnc.gov/
roadclosures.
This notice is published by the Town of Burgaw for the sole purpose of announcing temporary road closures as approved
by the Burgaw Town Council. Additional festival information, including event locations, activities, schedules, parking,
and related details, may be found on the official NC Blueberry Festival website at ncblueberryfestival.com
Plan ahead and get ready for a safer, sweeter festival this year
