NEWSLETTER
Our T own
Published weekly by the Town of Burgaw | December 1-5, 2025
The holiday season is in full swing and we ’re
thrilled to share a joyful lineup of festive events
for families, neighbors, and visitors to enjoy!
From cherished traditions to new opportunities
to celebrate, there’s something for everyone this
December.
Holiday fun continues throughout the month
with Movie in the Park on December 12
featuring Christmas Vacation, Santa ’s Workshop
and the Christmas Parade on December 13, the
Senior Christmas Lunch on December 17, and
Breakfast with Santa on December 20.
Due to inclement weather, Christmas on the Square has been postponed to
December 20. We appreciate everyone ’s understanding and look forward
to celebrating together on the rescheduled date.
In addition to these events, the 2025 Town of Burgaw Christmas
ornaments—featuring the historic Pender County Courthouse —are now
available for purchase at Town Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5
PM. This year ’s ornament is $20, and previous years (2023 and 2024) are
available for $10 while supplies last.
We’re also proud to support local families in need with our Christmas Toy
Drive. New, unwrapped toys are being collected at Town Hall now through
December 17. Every gift helps brighten Christmas morning for a child in our
community.
And don’t forget—Santa’s official mailbox is now open on the Courthouse
Square next to the big Christmas tree! Children may drop off letters
through December 14. Be sure to
include a name and return address
so Santa can write back.
We look forward to celebrating with
you and wish everyone a joyful and
festive Christmas season in Burgaw!

Letters to Santa
Thank you, Burgaw!
Our community came together in a
tremendous way, donating a total of 721.23
pounds of food to the Pender Christian
Services’ Food Pantry in Willard during our
annual Thanksgiving Food Drive!
We are incredibly grateful for the generosity
shown by our residents, businesses, and
partners who helped make this effort such a
success. Every contribution made a meaningful
difference, and we appreciate everyone who
participated and helped strengthen our
community through kindness and support.
