We remember the individuals
who tragically lost their lives
23 years ago on 9/11/2001.
Crews conducted a special
workout honoring all those
who gave their lives and we
had the privilege of flying the
flag over our town's 9/11
memorial event.
We celebrate the
remarkable achievement
of our Fire Marshal, who
has successfully obtained
the North Carolina Level 3
Fire Inspector certification.
Fire Marshal Kratovel was
acknowledged at the town
board meeting for her
steadfast pursuit of
knowledge and education,
a reflection of her
devotion to providing the
highest level of service to
our community.

Congratulations Did you know there is actually a North Carolina General Statue
(20-162(b)) that states “no person shall park a vehicle or permit
it to stand, whether attended or unattended, upon any public
vehicular area, street, highway or roadway in any area
designated as a fire lane”?
The Fire Lane is a designated spot that allows fire
responders unobstructed access to a building in the
event of an emergency. These lanes are part of the
buildings fire protection design.
We want to remind everyone to please
not park in these lanes. If you are caught
in violation of same, you may be
responsible for a ticketed $100 fine.
