The weather is getting warmer and pools are popping up all over town. Be
sure to contact us before you start filling your swimming pool. Each year, we
like to remind our residents that an adjustment can be made to the sewer
portion of their utility bill when filling a pool – only if
accurate meter readings are on file! So, before you turn
the water on, call us so we can obtain an accurate
reading before and after filling your pool. For questions
regarding pool fills, please contact our Customer Service
Representative at 663-3445.

It isn't officially summer yet, but boy does it feel like it!
I think we all could attest to that from this past weekend, if you attended the Springfest! It
was a little warm! We had such a wonderful time interacting and visiting with everyone. We thank you for your
continued support of our crew members and our volunteers.
As we start seeing the temperatures continue to climb and stay above the 80’s, we want to push out some heat
safety information.
It is important to remember that extreme heat is deadly and kills more people than any other weather event.
A few ways to protect yourself out in this heat is:
• Make sure you are staying hydrated; the average person should be drinking about ¾ of a gallon of water
daily. This can vary person to person.
• Wear appropriate light weight clothing that allows you to stay cool
• Limit time spent in the heat when doing a lot of manual labor. Take breaks and find cool places to rest.
• Know the signs of heat cramps, heat exhaustion, a heat stroke.
Heat exhaustion is severe and can lead to needing emergency
medical treatment. The signs of this are:
• Heavy sweating
• Cold, pale and clammy skin
• Fast, weak pulse
• Nausea or vomiting
Please know the signs of what to look for and know when to call 911. Make sure that we are looking out for each
and everyone of our community members.
For more information on heat illness and how to best prepare yourself, please visit Redcross.org for more.
We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!
